ENGINEERING

The Engineering Department oversees the design, permitting, and construction of all infrastructure projects that are funded through the capital improvement program, federal, or state grants. Projects include but are not limited to road reconstruction, bridge reconstruction, sidewalk construction, new building construction, and stormwater infrastructure. The Engineering Department also manages the City's muncipal separate storm sewer system (MS4) and the City's general permit with Maine DEP. The Department also oversees the City's closed landfills and all reporting associated with them.
