In response to a recent market-based valuation adjustment which impacted property taxes for many Auburn homeowners, the Auburn City Council voted recently to allocate $700,000.00 in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to provide some relief to Auburn homeowners 65 and older, whose taxes increased by $300 or more, and currently qualify for the Homestead exemption.

This relief for senior homeowners will be in the form of a $300 check. Application deadline is February 1st.
