COVID-Related Closures at Auburn Hall

  • February 11, 2021

Out of an abundance of caution, the City of Auburn has temporarily closed its Tax and City Clerk offices at Auburn Hall after several staff members tested positive for COVID-19.

“This closure is a precautionary measure,” said City Manager Phil Crowell. “Our first priority is to protect our employees and visitors against any further spread.”

Staff in the effected offices are self-quarantining and the workspaces have undergone a professional deep cleaning. Employees who are able will be working remotely during this time. Other city services within Auburn Hall are still available, including Planning, Permitting & Code, Economic & Community Development, Police, and others.

The Tax and City Clerk offices are expected to reopen on Tuesday, February 16, following Monday’s previously scheduled closure in recognition of Presidents’ Day. The most current closure and reopening information will be posted at auburnmaine.gov and on the city’s various social media pages.

The effected employees last worked on Wednesday, February 10. Recent visitors to Auburn Hall who have questions or concerns should email: comments@auburnmaine.gov.

Residents are reminded that many municipal services are available online at auburnmaine.gov.
