Memorial Ceremony Scheduled

Memorial Ceremony Scheduled for January 31 - A memorial ceremony to remember the 17 victims of a tragic nursery fire in 1945 in New Auburn has been cheduled for Saturday, January 31, 2015, starting at 8:00 am inside the Mausoleum at St. Peter's Cemetery in Lewiston, Maine.   The Mausoleum at St. Peter's Cemetery is located at the end of Deer Road in Lewiston.  Following the ceremony at St. Peter's Cemetery, the public is also invited to gather and talk over donuts and coffee at The Fortin Group in Auburn, located at the corner of Turner and Center St., beginning at 9:30 am.  The ceremony will be hosted by Cub Scouts Pack 111, The Fortin Group, and St. Peter's Cemetery.  Deacon Denis Mailhot will also speak.
