Absentee Ballots Available

  • October 07, 2015

Absentee ballots are available for the November 3, 2015 Election

There are several ways for you to request an absentee ballot. You can do so by;

1. Filling out an application and mailing it to the City Clerk's office.

2. Calling the City Clerk's office at 333-6600 (we must speak to each voter individually when requesting an absentee ballot over the phone).

3. Submitting an electronic request http://www.maine.gov/cgi-bin/online/AbsenteeBallot/index.pl

4. Voting in person in the City Clerk's office.

The statewide deadline to request an absentee ballot is Thursday, October 29, 2015. Our normal office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am until 4:30 pm, however for your convenience, we will be offering extended hours on Thursday, October 29, 2015 and will be open from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm. This will allow extra time for residents to register to vote, or to request an absentee ballot. All absentee ballots must be received back in the Clerk's office no later than 8:00 pm on Tuesday, November 3, 2015.
