9/11 Remembrance Ceremony Scheduled

 The Auburn Fire Department and the Auburn Firefighters Local #797 will be hosting a September 11, 11th year anniversary ceremony and blood drive, to be held at the Central Station, 550 Minot Ave.

There will be a morning social starting at 8am with coffee & donuts, followed by the ceremony at 8:30am, Auburn’s new Fire Chief Frank Roma will kick off the ceremony, along with a speech from Mayor Jonathan P. LaBonte and Police Chief Phil Crowell. The Honor Guard will be performing at 8:46 am, which marks the moment of the first impact. 

In addition, the Auburn Fire Department has partnered with the American Red Cross to host a blood drive, which begins at 1 pm – 6 pm.

 

The ceremony is an outside event and will be held rain or shine. Parking will be available behind the central fire station.
