The goal of the Curb Appeal Program is to create attractive neighborhoods by encouraging private investment in Downtown, Union Street and New Auburn target areas. The program will offer a grant and low interest rate loan, and is available to both commercial and residential properties to improve the exterior of their buildings.
Each year the City will issue a Request for Proposals with a fixed deadline for receiving submissions. Request for Proposals and Application, Part I. Proposals submitted after the deadline will not be considered. Proposals will be reviewed by a committee, and the projects that rank the highest will be selected. Once selected, the successful applicant will proceed with development of the project, and will submit Application, Part 2 for approval.
