2024 UPCOMING ELECTIONS
June 11, 2024: School Budget Validation Referendum and State Primary Election
NEW IN 2024 - Maine has transitioned from a closed primary system to a semi-open primary. Unenrolled voters will now be able to participate in primaries. Voters that are enrolled in a party may only vote in that party's primary. Enrolled voters do not have the option to select another party's ballot unless they unenroll or change enrollment at least 15 days before the primary election date. A voter must remain in a party for 3 months before changing parties or unenrolling.
