Hours:  Monday thru Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm

The Finance Department is responsible for ensuring that Auburn's money is collected fairly, accounted for accurately, and managed in a manner that preserves public trust. Finance is also responsible for Auburn's "Risk Management" safety program. This is an effort to protect employees from workplace injuries as well as protecting the City from catastrophic losses and certain lawsuits.

The Financial Services Department includes three divisions:

  • Accounting - including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, grants, purchasing, and insurance/risk management
  • Assessing - maintains sales information property deed transfers, and valuations of all real estate and personal property within the City
  • Clerk & Tax - including tax collection, vehicle registration, ATV/boat registration, licensing, voter registration & elections, and records
