Auburn Book Project Awards Ceremony and Book Signing

At a recent City Council Meeting, Auburn Mayor Jonathan P. LaBonte recognized the winner of this year's Auburn Book Project with a Key to the City. 12-year-old Cooper Dunn, a former student of East Auburn Community School, wrote and illustrated, (and won!) with his story:  Danger Off the Coast.

Mayor Labonte stated, "The Auburn Book Project is a program that allows our community to recognize the intellectual creativity of our young people.  Year after year, I'm impressed with the quality of these books and the talents of their authors, and this year is no different.  I hope other residents will take advantage of the event next month at the Library to meet Cooper and purchase one of his books."

Cooper and the nine other finalists will be recognized at an upcoming event at the Auburn Public Library on Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.  Copies of Cooper's book will be on sale at this public event and he'll be in attendance for a book signing.

The City of Auburn congratulates Cooper and all of the participating students on their fine work!
