The updated sales and transfers list is available

New sales are online! To view the updated sales and transfers list, please visit the Assessing Page - click on  ‘2016 Sales and Transfers’ in the left hand column.

As in the past the list includes all sales and transfers. You will find market sales and transfers with no consideration paid such as corrective deeds, family transfers, divorce transfers, foreclosures and more. While the latter types of transfers are generally considered 'not-arms-length' - the list does not include a determination whether the sales/transfers were arms-length-transactions or not.

We compile the list of sales and transfers from the monthly State of Maine Transfer Tax Declarations. The Assessing Office regards the information to be correct, but does not certify the data. Any user of the sales and transfer list is responsible for their own verification of transfer terms and conditions.
