September is National Preparedness Month. The City of Auburn, Auburn Police Department and Auburn Fire Department have teamed up to encourage everyone to "Be Disaster Aware, Take Action to Prepare."

All this month, we will be sharing tips and resources to help you and your family prepare for emergencies. First up: How to reconnect with your family after a disaster.

Make a family evacuation plan and a communication plan. For tips and information, visit: www.ready.gov/make-a-plan. Plan now so that you will all know what to do, how to find each other, and how to communicate in an emergency.
