Proposed Fare Increase on Downtown Shuttle

The Lewiston-Auburn Transit Committee (LATC) is holding two public hearings to receive comments on a proposed fare increase on the Downtown Shuttle bus route and minor route adjustment to the New Auburn, Main Street and Downtown Shuttle bus routes.

LATC is proposing implementing the regular fare of $1.50 for the Downtown Shuttle bus.

Minor route changes:
New Auburn – From Mary Carroll Street, turn left onto 6th Street, turn right onto Roak Street, turn left onto 3rd Street, turn right onto Dunn Street, turn left onto 2nd Street… continue onto Mill Street.
Main Street – The Main Street bus will provide service to Central Maine Medical Center as it travels outbound. Depart Oak Street Bus Station, turn right onto Main Street, turn left onto Hammond Street, turn right onto High Street, turn left onto Main Street.
Downtown Shuttle – The Downtown Shuttle will no longer provide service to Central Maine Medical Center.
