Please join us for a safety forum on Wednesday, June 7

AUBURN, ME. – The City of Auburn, the Maine Department of Transportation and the Maine Bicycle Coalition are hosting a pedestrian safety forum and are inviting the public to attend to provide valuable input. The event will take place on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 from 5:00p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Community Room, 2nd floor of Auburn City Hall, 60 Court Street. The “Heads Up” initiative is a state-wide program put together by the Maine Department of Transportation, and assisted by the Maine Bicycle Coalition, in response to the dramatic increase in pedestrian fatalities and crashes over the last two years in the State of Maine. 21 communities have been identified as the areas of concern and public meetings are being held to share information about pedestrian safety and most importantly, to get input from the public on specific locations that are unsafe for pedestrians and bicyclists.  Press Release
