NOTICE TO VOTERS

SPECIAL STATE REFERENDUM ELECTION

SCHOOL BUDGET VALIDATION REFERENDUM ELECTION

SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION – WARD 4 CITY COUNCIL

Absentee ballots are now available. Office hours of the City Clerk/Registrar of Voters are 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Monday through Friday. We will be closed on Monday, May 29, 2017 in observance of Memorial Day. We will be offering extended hours on Thursday, June 8, 2017 and will be open from 8:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. on that date for any resident wishing to register to vote, change voter information, or vote by absentee ballot.

The statewide deadline for requesting an absentee ballot for this election is the close of business on Thursday, June 8, 2017.

In accordance with Maine Revised Statutes Annotated Title 21-A, Section 121-A, you are hereby notified that as of May 24, 2017, voter registration will only be accepted from applicants who appear in person. Residents may register to vote at their polling place on Election Day. Proof of identity and Auburn residency is required. The law also requires that when a voter’s name or address changes, the voter must notify the Registrar of such change.

The following locations have been established as polling places within the City:

Ward 1                         Washburn School                    35 Lake Auburn Avenue

Ward 2                         Auburn Middle School             38 Falcon Drive

Ward 3                         Fairview School                       397 Minot Avenue

Ward 4                         Auburn Hall                             60 Court Street

Ward 5                         Sherwood Heights School        32 Sherwood Drive

All polling places are accessible to voters with disabilities. Polls open at 7:00 A.M. and close at 8:00 P.M.

Voters must vote in the correct polling place. Voters are encouraged to call the City Clerk’s office at 333-6600 if you are not sure of your voting place.
