The City of Auburn is looking for additional registered voters to work at the polling places on November 8, 2016 and possibly future elections. These are paid positions and training prior to the election is mandatory.

This is an exciting opportunity. It's also a great way for you to participate in the democratic process, see friends, neighbors and members of your community, and earn a little extra cash all at the same time.

We are looking to fill the following positions:

Duties: Check voters off the Incoming Voter List and hand out appropriate ballot, ensure all ballots are deposited in the ballot box by the voter, assist Warden and Ward Clerk as needed, complete tally sheets after the polls close.

Rate of Pay: $7.75 per hour

Deputy Registrars

Qualifications: U.S. Citizen, at least 18 years of age, and a Maine resident.

Duties: Register voters at the polling place, check identification and residency requirements and determine voter eligibility, and process address and name changes.
