AUBURN VOTING LOCATIONS 

Ward 1 - Washburn School, 35 Lake Auburn Avenue

Ward 2 - Auburn Middle School, 38 Falcon Drive

Ward 3 - Fairview School, 397 Minot Avenue

Ward 4 - Auburn Hall, 60 Court Street

Ward 5 - Sherwood Heights, 32 Sherwood Drive 

Polls open at 7:00 A.M. and close at 8:00 P.M. on election day.

 

PLEASE NOTE: WARD 3 VOTERS NOW VOTE AT FAIRVIEW SCHOOL AND WARD 4 VOTERS NOW VOTE AT AUBURN HALL.

 All polling places are accessible to voters with disabilities. 

Voters must vote in the correct polling place. Some of the ward lines have changed. A mailing was sent out to notify voters of the changes, however voters are encouraged to call the City Clerk’s office at 333-6600 if you are not sure of the location of your voting place.

In accordance with Maine Revised Statutes Annotated Title 21-A, Section 122, Subsection 6, A (2), as of October 14, 2015, voter registration will only be accepted from applicants who appear in person. The law also requires that when a voter’s address changes, the voter must notify the Registrar of such change. Residents may register to vote at their polling place on Election Day. Proof of identity and Auburn residency are required in order to register to vote. 

Office hours of the City Clerk/Registrar of Voters are 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Monday through Friday. We will also be offering extended hours on Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 8:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. for any resident wishing to register to vote, change voter information, or vote by absentee ballot.

The statewide deadline for requesting an absentee ballot for this election is

the close of business on Thursday, October 29, 2015.

 

There are several ways for you to request an absentee ballot. You can do so by;

1. Filling out an application and mailing it to the City Clerk's office.

2. Calling the City Clerk's office at 333-6600 (we must speak to each voter individually when requesting an absentee ballot over the phone).

3. Submitting an electronic request http://www.maine.gov/cgi-bin/online/AbsenteeBallot/index.pl

4. Voting in person in the City Clerk's office.
