Absentee Ballots are Available

STATE OF MAINE GENERAL AND REFERENDUM ELECTION

SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION - WARD 4 SCHOOL COMMITTEE

Absentee ballots for this election are now available. There are several ways for you to request an absentee ballot. You can do so by;

• Filling out an application and mailing it in to the City Clerk's office
• Calling our office at 333-6600 (we would need to speak to each voter individually)
• Submitting an electronic request http://www.maine.gov/cgi-bin/online/AbsenteeBallot/index.pl
• Voting in person in the City Clerk's office

The deadline to request an absentee ballot is Thursday, October 30, 2014. Our normal office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am until 4:30 pm, however for your convenience, we will be offering extended hours on Saturday, October 25, 2014 from 8:00 am until noon, and on Thursday, October 30, 2014 from 8:00 am until 7:00 pm. This will allow extra time for residents to register to vote, or to request an absentee ballot. All absentee ballots must be received back in the Clerk's Office no later than 8:00 pm on Tuesday, November 4, 2014.
