1-4 Property Inspections – Assessing Division

The Assessing Division will be conducting property inspections in certain areas of the City beginning in September 2018. Pursuant to Title 36 §328, the Assessing Division has an obligation to perform “physical inspections and inventory” of property located within the City. Our target is to inspect 25% of the total parcels in the City each year, this process is known as the “1 in 4” inspections.

At a minimum, we will be inspecting the exteriors of buildings located in the defined inspection areas. We are also taking new photos to update the property record. Our staff will have City Identification and will knock on the front door prior to the inspection. If we miss you, we will leave a notification and may request follow-up if necessary. If you see our orange door tag, you will know we were there!
